The Omnilicense is a simple, universal, open license. It can be applied to any type of copyrightable work, from video productions to software applications, from books to music scores.
The license is written in plain English and is absent of legal jargon. It provides authors, artists, designers and developers with a transparent, uncomplicated, and robust legal framework in which to encourage wider, open collaboration on their projects.
The Omnilicense is reciprocal. Recipients of licensed works are granted the right to copy, modify, give away or even sell the works themselves. In return any copies or modifications must remain licensed under the same terms.
